In recent months, the national media has focused on the negative, even violent, behavior of players, coaches and parents involved in youth sports. In a proactive effort to counteract this trend of violence, AYSO is initiating a program called Kids Zone. To read more check the official AYSO site.
The Saugus U16 Girls Place 3rd in the National Games

Coach Joe Winther lead his girls to 3rd in the 2002 Ayso National games held in Hololulu, Hawaii. The 12 girls played hard and long to fight against teams from New York to Hawaii. The girls also placed second in sportsmanship out of over 100 teams. The next national games will be held in 2004 in Lancaster.
